/ BACKGROUND
Urban Outfitters, Inc. is a portfolio of global consumer brands comprised of Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, FP Movement, BHLDN, Terrain, Menus & Venues, and Nuuly. URBN Community is the internal (and sometime external) identifier the company uses to identify employee culture.

Like many internally facing content teams URBN was managing the company intranet through Sharepoint. The project began in late 2017 and launched in 2018. The project involved scoping, pitching, designing, migration, and training 5 teams onto the Contentful platform. All told, I was the Product Owner working with a cross functional group of stakeholders across our portfolio of companies. I’ve included any documentation I still have, but unfortunately it isn’t much.

Five (5) successful Contentful Spaces were set up all with their own brand identity and content. Hands down switching from Sharepoint was a major upgrade for internal teams leading to better content, workflows, and governance.
